Baylor catches 1st NCAA championship
The Baylor Bears captured their first men’s national basketball title by defeating the then-undefeated Gonzaga Bulldogs. Baylor controlled the game the entire way and would win 86-70; it was not a close and exciting game. Baylor guard, Jared Butler, was the leading scorer for the Bears with 22 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Both Baylor and Gonzaga were 1 seeds but Baylor was able to stop Gonzaga from going 32-0. With March Madness completed, we are sad to see it go but glad we all got to watch it, until next year, March Madness.
