Lady Falcons Volleyball Start Strong with a Winning Streak

The Ferguson Falcons Girls Volleyball team is 4-0 in their last 4 games. The win streak started with a win over Coral Reef 3-2, from there going on to beat Regan 3-1, Varela 3-2, and Palmetto 3-1.

At home, the Falcons feed off the crowd. “They feel more comfortable at home and have the crowd behind them,” says Coach Shanower. Falcons have had some close games and still came out on top, more so at home. “There are teams that have challenged but when at home you want to protect your house,” says their coach.

In those close games, Coach Shanower talked about the importance of keeping the team focused on game and sometimes having to call a team meeting mid-game to get the team back on track. The overall mesh of the team and each player knowing their role is what Coach Shanower emphasizes. “The team as a whole has their roles and the seniors are the leading force of the team,” he says. We wish our Lady Falcons team all the best in their upcoming games and hope the winning streak keeps going strong!
