Blooming Movies in the Month of April
Spring is in full bloom now, as we move into April. Budding seeds become blossomed flowers and it’s the perfect time to watch some of the new movies coming out this month.
Screamboat (April 2, 2025)
It was supposed to be a boring, uneventful ferry ride. However, an un-merry mouse named Steamboat Willie who is played by David Howard Thornton, interrupts the serene trip and sends panic rippling amongst the passengers with his monstrous and gruesome murders. This film twists the idea of Steamboat Willie–a classic cartoon character recognized for whistling and sailing–and transforms him into an entirely different creature.
The Luckiest Man in America (April 4, 2025)
Starring Paul Walter Hause, this film follows an unemployed broke nobody who amasses an incredible amount of money on the game show “Press Your Luck.” His luck though, is not luck at all. He’s a cheater, but suspicions don’t arise until already he’s in too deep.
A Minecraft Movie (April 4th, 2025)
Warner Bros. has been building towards this movie for months, and it’s finally here. Based on the beloved game developed by Mojang, the film stars Jack Black as Steve, a master crafter, who partners with a motley crew of misfits to fully understand the geometrical world they’ve landed in and hopefully escape it.
The Amateur (April 11, 2025)
CIA agent Charlie Heller, played by Rami Malek, loses his wife in a terrorist attack in London. Devastated by the loss, and betrayed by his own department that no vengeance or justice is being pursued, he takes matters into his own hands. His mind is his ultimate weapon as he takes down and invades those who cross him.
Until Dawn (April 25, 2025)
A new story is being implemented into the Until Dawn saga. Originally a widely praised decision based horror game, the movie follows a cast of young adults slowly being killed off one-by-one by a masked killer in an abandoned building, deep in the valley. The twist is, the day keeps resetting, the group being forced to relive the new horrors each time. Will they survive until dawn?
Be a movie critic this month and watch these new films. There is something for everyone and a favorite could be waiting for you in this list.
