Welcome to the 2025-2026 School Year

The summer has flown by, and just like that, the John A. Ferguson halls are alive once again with the sound of laughter, chatter, and the buzz of a brand-new school year. On August 14th, Falcons both new and returning filled the campus, ready to kick off the 2025–2026 academic year with excitement and determination.

For freshmen, this is the start of an unforgettable journey. The transition may feel overwhelming at first, but soon the hallways will feel familiar, and friendships will blossom in unexpected ways. Sophomores and juniors are continuing to grow, take on new challenges, and make memories that will shape their high school years. Seniors begin their final flight toward graduation, facing a year filled with anticipation, milestones, and a sense of bittersweet excitement for what comes next.

With so many stories to be told and events to be experienced, The Talon is back and ready to cover it all. The goal is to bring Ferguson students news, features, entertainment, and sports coverage that reflects the life and spirit of the school. Whether it’s highlighting student achievements, sharing the latest trends, or celebrating Falcon pride at games, The Talon has it covered.
