‘Ready Or Not 2: Here I Come’: What To Expect
The horror sequel “Ready or Not 2: Here I Come,” released on March 20, 2026, takes everything the first movie had and turns it up. There’s more action, more blood, and much higher stakes.
The original film focused on Grace, a bride who had to survive a deadly game of hide and seek with her husband’s family. The sequel picks up right after she survives those events, but instead of slowing down, things rapidly speed up.
In this film, Grace, played by Samara Weaving, is still dealing with the aftermath of what happened at the Le Domas mansion. But instead of finally being safe, she quickly finds out that the nightmare isn’t over yet. This time, it’s not just one family hunting her, there are multiple powerful families involved in the chase.
This time though, Grace isn’t alone. She is accompanied by her estranged sister Faith, played by Kathryn Newton. The plot revolves around an elite group of families who force Grace and Faith into another deadly game. Their relationship adds emotion to the story, since they have to work through their past issues while trying to stay alive.
There was also an exciting addition of new cast members like Sarah Michelle Gellar as Ursula Danforth, Shawn Hatosy as Titus Danforth, David Cronenberg as Chester Danforth, Nestor Carbonell as Ignacio El Caido, Kevin Durand as Bill Wilkinson, and Olivia Cheng as Wan Chen Xing.
Critics have noted that while Samara Weaving’s performance deserves praise as well as the creative, action-packed kill scenes, the film just lacked originality compared to the first. Some also found the film to be an unnecessary follow up.
Overall, Ready or Not 2: Here I Come, is an entertaining sequel that provides plenty of thrills. It may not be as unique as the first film, but it still offers a fun experience for horror fans to appreciate. So if you enjoyed the original, this sequel is definitely worth watching.
