A Photo To Remember

Senior panoramic is a photo shoot that gives all the seniors in the school a chance to pose together and show the faces of the class of 2019. This occasion took place on September 5th in the school gym during the first block of the day.

During this photoshoot, seniors could wear their crowns and their sports jerseys or uniforms. There were a total of six photos: three spirited pictures and three regular ones. To structure the picture, the students were mainly organized by general, fall sports, SGA, and senior board.

“It’s a great way to get the seniors together for school spirit and solidarity,” Senior, Kayla Zapata said.

Kayla Zapata is responsible for organizing and executing this event. She worked along with Ms. Rae-Schulze. Rae-Schulze is the activities director and oversees this project as well. Unfortunately, seniors cannot order and receive an actual copy of the photos. However, instead of selling them, the pictures are available in the school’s yearbook for the seniors and the memories.

After the pictures were taken, the senior board also announced the winners for the Senior Crown Competition. This included three categories: Most Extravagant, Most Creative, and Senior’s Choice. Although Most Extravagant and Most Creative was chosen by the Senior Board, the boy and girl who won Senior Choice were voted on by their fellow seniors via Twitter and Remind. They all won various prizes, such as graduation tickets and a Starbucks gift card.

“Senior panoramic has been around for a couple of years… a while now actually,” Kayla said. The tradition is might be new to the school but is an opportunity for the seniors to demonstrate their harmony and pride as a whole class, united.
