Falcons Take Down Varela Vipers
With the new season just underway, the Falcons football team has been relentlessly preparing for their upcoming games. Though they faced adversity early in the season, the Falcons made a statement last Friday by beating Varela 28-0 at home.
“It was a bit of a sloppy game. We need to work on execution. The offensive line needs to work on leverage and the team needs to play with more intensity.” Defensive coordinator, Coach Diaz, reflects. “Overall, it was a good game.”
Even with a big win, the Falcons see this as a chance to improve even futher. Their drive to improve shows just how committed they are to success. By tightening up their game and focusing on a few key areas, they’re getting ready to take on whatever comes next.
“It was a solid game.” Senior running back and linebacker, Rolando Rosada, says. “However, we have some things we need to fix up. We must focus on our offensive line.”
The defense had a great run, holding Varela to a small number of offensive yards and
0 points. The offense flourished aswell, scoring 2 rushing touchdowns and 2 passing
touchdowns.
“It was a great experience for us to get our momentum back and get our first win. It felt great to get in the endzone twice.” Sophomore Running back, Cyel Malary, expresses.
The Falcons are looking to build off their momentum and continue to improve throughout the season. Go support the Falcons Football Team on Friday, September 6th, when they face of against the Westland Wildcats at home.
