The Boys Basketball team had a great winter break! The Falcons round up the holiday break at 5-2 and won the 2024 River Ridge New Years Tournament with a win over Nature Coast 69-47. Their overall record currently is 10-6 along with a 6-game winning streak, they had a rough start at first, now they are making their way back to the court strong.

Senior Guard, Brandon Vasquez had this to say about his personal and his team’s performance in the tournament, “I had a good overall performance, but when it came down to it, it was really a team effort to get the win. The key to our victory was to execute all our plays, rally together, and play as a team.”

Senior Guard, Jhorman Gomez said this about his performance, “I did all-right the first game, I played my role and did as much as I could to help the team. Unfortunately, I got injured in the second game.”

The team received the news that their teammate Jhorman Gomez’s injury turned out to be a torn acl. Although this is not good news for the team, the team should be proud of their effort and performance in the tournament. All the best wishes go out to Jhorman!

Friday night our Falcons play against their rival, the Braddock Bulldogs. They hope to get the win over their adversaries and keep the season going. Go support the Falcons! Goodluck!
