Ferguson’s Guitar Program Delivers a Festive Winter Concert
On Friday, December 5th, friends and family alike filled the auditorium with excitement as Ferguson’s guitar program took the stage for its annual winter concert.
The holiday-themed guitar event brought students together to showcase their talents in front of a packed crowd. With a combination of performers ranging from guitar players to drummers and vocalists, it led to the perfect show. Not to mention how the soft glow of stage lighting and the sound of layered guitars created a cozy and festive atmosphere that pulled the audience in right from the start.
Senior Ariel Gonzalez shares, “We’ve been practicing a lot and working hard to have a perfect performance, and it definitely paid off.” Our falcons have been planning and rehearsing for this event since the start of the school year, and now they have finally gotten to see all their hard work put into action on stage.
Each group opened its act by playing a classic holiday song such as “Angels We Have Heard on High.” The energy was then shifted as they transitioned into an upbeat pop song. Students played a variety of fun songs, including “Jingle Bell Rock,” “Still into You,” “This Love,” etc.
“My group and I played ‘Psycho Killer’ by Talking Heads. It was very fun to organize a small band and get to play a song we all love on stage,” adds senior Aiden Almeida.
The experience itself left a lasting impression on those involved. Senior Yonal Diaz says, “Getting to perform for my friends and family was exciting, and I was proud to show them what we’ve been working on.” The night was more than just a concert; it was a memorable celebration of music, dedication, and Christmas spirit within Ferguson.
