FREE SAT!

Calling all students interested in taking the SAT. The College Board is offering a free November registration and a CSS profile fee waiver in support of students and families affected by Hurricane Irma. It is important to utilize this opportunity as it plays in one’s favor. The College Board is completely aware of some of the hardships one may be facing and to ease those concerns have set in place a solution. They are also aware of the fact that many students in Florida have already registered for the November SAT and have paid for it. That is why they are allowing Students Registered for that SAT to call customer service to receive a refund of their registration and late fee.

However, to seize this opportunity students need to register and pay, then contact customer service for a refund before October 25th. The College Board has also waived the fee to create a CSS profile for financial aid.  But, after this November SAT, students will be required to pay for the SAT and the CSS profile fee, unless they have free or reduced lunch. One should also keep in mind that this window of opportunity only applies to the SAT and not the ACT.

If one is perplexed about this auspicious scheme, then one should talk to Alice Veloso, one of Ferguson’s Design and Architecture Counselors. Veloso has been overseeing this entire project where it concerns Ferguson’s students and making sure that this opportunity is conducive to academic success for the students. To further one’s knowledge, one should talk to Veloso about this upcoming SAT. One can email her and ask questions if they wish to apply themselves. “Students who have come asking don’t feel pressured, but rather excited for the opportunity,” Veloso said. The SAT is occurring on November 4th, for those who have registered for it.
