Ocarina of Time Remake

It is the new hype, competing right next to GTA VI. The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been a fan-favorite of many old gamers and new gamers. Ocarina of Time First came out for the Nintendo 64 in 1998, it is said that Ocarina of Time contributed to
a revolution, or big inspiration in many other games due to its very advanced mechanics and scenes for the time being. A 3D version was later released for the Nintendo 3DS in 2011.

Now, with this announcement Nintendo has made about a remake of Ocarina of Time, most of the Legend of Zelda community look forward to play it once it comes out on November 5th. But… What exactly is the Ocarina of Time? The Ocarina of Time follows one of the many timelines of The Legend of Zelda known as the ’Child’ Timeline. After a fierce Civil War known as the Hyrulean Civil War, a wounded mother turns Baby Link to the Great Deku Tree for him to raise. The Great Deku Tree realizes Link as the boy of destiny, and decides to let the other Kokiri Children raise him and let him grow. Link was given a bright-blue fairy who goes by the name of Navi as a personal companion & guide and soon let free to pursue his destiny as the Hero of Time. Link undergoes many struggles and even time-traveling through the Master Sword, turning his body older than his present time to ultimately fight the end-game boss, Ganondorf, and save all of Hyrule, as well as Princess Zelda. In this game, Link can play different tunes on his Ocarina, which results in magical outcomes It is a mechanic all fans love.

Fans love both the story and the game itself, some see the storyline as a great entertainment hook. Others feel bad for Link, due to having to return to his original body and time. He never got any fame, nobody recognized him as Hero due to going back in
time. And his only companion, witness to all of his doings, Navi, left. Because Navi
belonged to the Kokiri, not a Hylian like Link. In the end, fans have anticipated this long-awaited remake. But opinions are a double-edged sword.
Ocarina of Time Remake vs. The Media

There has been, ever since the release of Nintendo’s Direct’s two most known trailers of
the Ocarina of Time Remake, an ongoing battle between people who dislike the remake
and people who do love the remake. Now, there are many aspects of the remake they
are fighting over.

“The remake is beautiful!” Exclaimed Miguel Angel, a Sophomore here at John A. Ferguson Senior High School. Miguel exclaims his love for the remake, how “super original” it all was. From the smallest details to the biggest changes, ”It all adds up, like
puzzle pieces.”, Miguel adds.

“It completely captures me”, states Diogo Wong, a Senior here at John A. Ferguson
Senior High School. Diogo calmly explains why, ”It’s the change in detail for me, it’s like staring into a whole new world.”, he states again. Diogo would go on to express his love for the newer designs and hopes in playing the Remake in the future.

Ysabella Flores, a Sophomore at John A. Ferguson Senior High School, exclaims her opinion on the new remake, ”As a person who loves both the manga and game, I am very excited for the new remake because it has more modern game style!”, but then she
adds, ”I do feel like if the new features do not compare or live up to pair with the hype, I think its more of a cash grab than an actual ”new” game.” Ysabella clearly states two opinions at once, giving up an overview of how she truly feels about the remake.
To conclude, most students love the remake. But they have mixed feelings about it. Some things stick out, some blend in and live to the hype
