Who is Caitlin Clark?

Caitlin Clark’s rise to fame has impacted multiple communities like the entirety of the WNBA, young girls, and all female athletes. Her impeccable skills and media attention captured the attention of so many people; stadiums are always full, viewership has skyrocketed, and her name is an official household name.

After so many years of shy media attention for the WNBA, they are reaching the popularity the NBA so easily achieved. This is a new era for the WNBA and all female sports.

WNBA rookie of the year Caitlin Clark is well known for being the all-time leading scorer in NCAA basketball, scoring 3,951 points in her college career. After another successful basketball season, she averaged over 27 points, 8 rebounds, and 7 assists per game.

Clark is also recognizable for holding the women’s NCAA Division 1 record for career points per game (28.4) and most 3-pointers (548) made, which is unbelievable given the tremendous players that broke the records before her.

Even though her basketball record is extensive, she has taken a turn as an athlete. She turned to the world of golf after temporarily stepping away from the WNBA after her team finished with a score of 5 under par.

The transition of sports has kept her active in her offseason, allowing her to enjoy an entirely different sport compared to the fast-paced team sport she grew up playing. Her complete golf background goes way back to 2017 when she competed in the Solheim Cup in 2017 proving her golf background.

Clark is a woman of many attributes, but while she is not playing basketball, supporting her teammates and other WNBA stars is still vital.
