Falcons Stomp Over the Bulldogs

The Lady Falcons’ volleyball team got a commanding victory against rival school Braddock, completely shutting them out with a final of 3-0 in sets.

Catching fire early into the game, they made quick work of the Bulldogs and finished the first set 25-13.

Building off their momentum, the Falcons continued to put pressure on Braddock’s defense as they soared to a 25-15 win in the second set. Establishing a 2-0 lead in short fashion.

The Bulldogs were still showed some fight though. Flipping the switch late into the third set and even giving the Falcons a scare. As early into the final period of play, the Falcons took a convincing 7-0 lead and it seemed as if it was only a matter of time before they tallied another win onto their record.

However, the Bulldogs surged and commenced a rally that had them in the lead for most of the set. Going back and forth, both teams showed how skilled they can be down the stretch.

No team was able to get a significant advantage, trading blows and never taking more than a one-point lead in crunch time, this set was a tossup.

With the home crowd erupting when Braddock tied up the game at 24, and then at 25, it seemed as if they were going to claw their way into coming back. This narrative was soon shifted as Ferguson took two quick points to win the set and the game in a thriller.
