Falcon Swimming Season Recap
The Ferguson Falcons 2019 swimming season has come to an end. Going into the season Coach Sebastian had high expectations. “My expectations were high after Coach Uribe left, but did want to improve the discipline with the team. I made sure that new swimmers had to hit a particular time in order to join and had a cut off date early into the season.
On top of that, I made sure that swimmers had to be at practice on time, 30 mins late,” said Coach Sebastian. The season notable victories were placing a tie Braddock, a win against Coral Gables, South Miami, and Killian.
The standout swimmers on the season were Anelis Roque, Carlos Lezcano, and Adriana Roldan. The MVP of the team was Anelis roque. “Overall, I believe we did the best we could do for this season. I think that we could improve by swimmers who want to swim and not join for school credit. I did set a standard for this year but even with that, I saw some fall off the wagon. I hope next year there will be even more improvement with swimmers wanting to be at practice as well as competing,” said Coach Sebastian.
