An In-Depth Look at the Garfield Movie Trailer

The cat who has captured hearts around the world is about to leap off the comic strip and onto the big screen in a sensational new movie! On May 24th, 2016, it was announced that Alcon Entertainment would develop a new computer-animated Garfield film. Now, the movie is right around the corner, with a stellar cast featuring Chris Patt as Garfield and Samuel L. Jackson as his father, Vic.

The Garfield Movie is expected to follow the storyline of an unexpected reunion with Garfield’s long-lost father. Garfield and Odie are forced to abandon their well-known pampered lives to join Vic in a hilarious, high-stakes heist. 

The trailer’s opening scene is Jon Arbuckle’s first encounter with Garfield in a restaurant, which shows the events leading to his adoption. We see various clips of Garfield eating copious servings of food as his body mass increases, until Garfield’s dad strides along them with an adventure in mind that swipes Garfield off his feet. The nostalgia factor has generated some early buzz in the popularity of the film, but baby Garfield is stealing the hearts of viewers, and fans can’t get over how adorable he looks. 

The animation is a lot more modern since the last movie added a cute and bubbly touch to the characters, presented more attractive action scenes, and improved the likeability of the whole movie. Even the coziness of the restaurant in the opening scene gave us a glimpse of how aesthetically pleasing this movie could be. 

This comedic and fun movie is already snatching the attention of moviegoers and will land in theaters like a people magnet. Garfield is perfect for a light-hearted movie with family, young siblings, and friends! Laughs and fun memories are to be expected.
