Black Panther Movie Review
Black Panther is the most recent addition to the MCU universe, and to say the least, fans are completely loving it. The movie centers around our newest superhero and his country of Wakanda, as he copes with the loss of his father and tries to defend his right to the throne against colonies who wish to take it.
The movie featured an all African American cast which is one of the many reasons fans were so excited about the film. T’challa, who plays the Black Panther, must go through many obstacles to keep the secret of his country a secret.
The movie is filled with intense battle scenes and just the right amount of humor. The writers and directors of the film also did a wonderful job when they decided to include a few references that would acknowledge problems that exist even in today’s society, problems like racism and the oppression of African Americans.
According to Manhola Douglas, a writer from the New York Times reports, “A jolt of a movie, Black Panther creates wonder with great flair and feeling partly through something Hollywood rarely dreams of anymore: myth.”
The movie did a wonderful job of creating a magical world that the Marvel Universe has repeatedly shown. They never cease to amaze the audience. The film did an excellent job in the box office, grossing over $292 million in its first week. Love it or hate it, there’s only one thing to say, Wakanda Forever!
