Boys Baseball Celebrates Five Game Winning Streak
As the season progresses, the boy’s baseball team has shown their diligence and commitment to the game, attaining a winning streak of five consecutive games. This places them with an overall season record of 12-8.
“So far, I’m very happy with the way our season has been going. We started with a rough first few weeks, but we bounced back.” Catcher Miguel Fuentes states. “We had some tough games, but now we’re on a roll with the 5-game streak, and I’m very proud. I hope we can keep our streak going into the playoffs.”
The team’s hard work and teamwork have been evident in their recent performances, which is a turnaround from their rough start to the season. They are determined to continue their winning ways as they head towards the playoffs, with their offense and defense working together. It won’t be a surprise if they achieve this with ease.
Some striking stat leaders include Junior, Alejandro Rosales with a batting average of 0.358, he also has an on-base average of 0.521. Junior, Ryan Alfonso has a total of 13 stolen bases, and Senior Matthew Zamora holds a fielding percentage of 1.000.
With various games and competitions approaching rapidly, such as the 7A District 16 playoffs, all eyes are on the Ferguson baseball team in hopes of keeping their winning streak going.
