Coachella 2024: A Recap

Held in Indio, California, Coachella is an annual music and arts festival featuring a diverse lineup of musical acts across various genres. With a focus on sustainability and eco-conscious practices, Coachella has become a global cultural phenomenon, attracting attendees from around the world. Now in its 25th year, Coachella continues to captivate audiences with its unparalleled lineup of musical talent, immersive art installations, and vibrant cultural experiences. The 2024 edition proves to be nothing short of spectacular, blending the essence of its rich history with innovative new features that push the boundaries of creativity and expression.

Lana Del Rey, best known for her dreamy vocals, cinematic soundscapes, and evocative lyrics, took pleasure in headlining the first night of Coachella. Throughout her career, she has cultivated a dedicated fan base and critical acclaim.

This weekend also included many iconic artists such as Lil Uzi Vert, the up-and-coming Peso Pluma, Deftones, Young Mike, Ken Carson, Faye Webster, and Disney star Sabrina Carpenter!

Headlining Saturday, Tyler, the Creator has earned widespread acclaim for his genre-defying sound, innovative production, and dynamic stage presence. Tyler began his set with “IGOR’S THEME.”This weekend includes artists such as BLUR, Ice Spice, Sublime, Grimes,  Destroy Lonely, and more. Although Grimes’ performance didn’t go so well, and BLUR’s crowd wasn’t as enthusiastic as expected, there were plenty of amazing performances.  On both Saturdays, Gwen Stefani’s band “No Doubt” surprised the crowd by performing together after 10 years & brought out Olivia Rodrigo during one of the songs!

Doja Cat ended both weekends strong with her dynamic performance. Although Doja has faced a lot of backlash recently, she still manages to put on an energetic performance. Known for her catchy hooks, clever wordplay, and captivating stage presence, Doja Cat rose to fame with hits like “Say So,” “Streets,” and “Kiss Me More.”  Sunday’s lineup also included J Balvin, Jhene Aiko, Lil Yachty, NAV, Chi Leray, Bebe Rexha, Kid Audi, and more.

Although expensive, Coachella has always been a pop culture event, and many celebrities or just regular people look forward to it every year! And not just seeing their favorite artists, but the outfits, the pictures, the architecture, and of course, the vibes! Coachella is something that everyone should go to at least once in their lives.
