Darkness Rises, Hype Builds, Inside Hawkins’ Next Battle
Over the first four seasons of Stranger Things, we watched the kids of Hawkins try to survive monsters, government cover-ups, and The Upside Down. Each season got darker as Vecna became the main threat, and the cracks between the two worlds started ripping open. By the end of Season 4, Hawkins was literally torn apart, and everyone knew the final fight was coming.
Season 5
Season 5, Part 1, picks up right after all the destruction. The town is largely in ruins, and the group is scrambling to determine where Vecna went after the battle. Eleven is trying to take control of her powers again while being hunted by the government, which doesn’t make anything easier. Meanwhile, some of the characters begin to experience creepy visions and strange mental connections, suggesting that Vecna might be closer than they think. It feels like everything is building toward one last huge showdown.
What Ferguson Students Loved
“Every minute of it was intense. I really liked it, but I’m a little upset that I have to wait until December 25 for the next part to come out. But I really want to see how Will’s new powers are going to be, because from what I saw, he can control the Demogorgons with his mind.” (Kevin Coronado, 11th grade)
“This is the best Show ever, it is amazing how I pretty much grew up with the show because I was so young when the first season came out, and now, I’m closer to being an adult than being a child so it does give me a little bit of nostalgia, especially seeing all the characters grow up and be adults too.” (Penelope Rodriquez, 10th grade)
What people expect for part 2
Fans think Part 2 will finally reveal the truth about The Upside Down and why certain characters are tied to it. A popular theory is that Hopper and Henry Creel might be connected in ways the show hasn’t explained, and that Joyce might’ve known more about Henry than what she mentioned. Because of theories like this people are waiting for big reveals, emotional moments, and probably a few sad scenes. Everyone’s basically waiting to see if Eleven can finally take down Vecna and how the story will end.
