Sizzle & Support: Fusion Night at Texas Roadhouse
The Fusion Dance Team held its monthly fundraising night at Texas Roadhouse, drawing a crowd of students, families, and supporters for an evening of great food and community spirit. By partnering with the restaurant, the team can raise funds for costumes, travel, and performances—important necessities for their success.
As soon as guests arrived, team members welcomed everyone with smiles, guided them to tables, and shared updates about the dance season. Their enthusiasm and team shirts made it easy for supporters to connect and learn more about their efforts. Meanwhile, Texas Roadhouse staff worked alongside the dancers to ensure the night ran smoothly.
Throughout the event, guests who mentioned the fundraiser had a portion of their bill donated to the team. This turned dinner into both a social and supportive event as friends, parents, and teachers caught up and celebrated the dancers’ hard work. Dancers took the opportunity to share their upcoming goals and competitions, and inspired younger students interested in joining someday. These conversations helped build a stronger bond between the team and their supporters.
Sahrie Leger shared, “It’s super fun. We invite multiple of our friends and family to come and hang out while we try and raise money for our team. It’s nice to bond with teams and introduce different friends and family members to each other.”
This fundraiser is an essential financial boost, helping cover travel and equipment expenses, and funding new choreography. Without these events, the team’s goals would be much harder to achieve. Events like this also allow the team to showcase their personality offstage in a relaxed, casual environment. Parents appreciate the chance to meet their children’s teammates and see firsthand the camaraderie that develops through dance. Teachers and staff often attend to show solidarity, which means a lot to the dancers.
Faye Cherry added, “In the Texas Roadhouse fundraiser, we have food and socialize with our friends. I find it to be fun because I get to hang out with all my friends and family.”
Team members work together to welcome guests, distribute flyers, and promote upcoming fundraisers around the school through posters and social media. These shared responsibilities strengthen their teamwork and enthusiasm.
The atmosphere at Texas Roadhouse on fundraiser nights is fun and lively, with country music, laughter, and plenty of appreciation as dancers visit each table to thank guests. The event feels more like a celebration and less like an obligation, making it a highlight for everyone involved.
Emily Xiques said, “The Texas Roadhouse fundraiser was super fun because I got to talk to all my friends and help support my dance team. i usually just talk and have food with my friends.”
As the night wraps up, the Fusion Dance Team leaves feeling supported and valued by their community. Each successful fundraiser reaffirms just how important this encouragement is for their continued growth and achievement.
