Falcons with Decisive Win Against Knights at Home
Following a successful four-game winning streak, our baseball Falcons took a break for spring vacation. Although they enjoyed their time off, it was important for them to maintain focus and prepare, especially with their senior night scheduled for the first day back from the break. This highly anticipated game would be against their local rivals, the Sunset Knights.
The Falcons have experienced a variable season so far, but their performance has improved in recent weeks. Following their recent victory against the Knights with a score of 10-6, the Falcons are now concentrating on preparations for their final two regular season games.
Senior centerfielder Ryan Alfonso said, “It was definitely an emotional game for me and the team, but we knew what was most important was securing the win, and that’s what we did.”
Junior infielder Anthony Giz had this to say, “Overall we played great, it was extra special for our seniors. I’m going to miss my teammates a lot, but right now we’re focused on the rest of the season.”
As the seniors finished their final game, emotions ran high as they marked the end of an incredible chapter. While the seniors prepare to move on to new opportunities, our juniors are getting ready to continue the tradition and become the next senior falcons.
After a great home win, the Falcons are facing the Southridge Spartans at Southridge on Thursday, April 3rd. Go out and support the Falcons as they push to end the season strong and make the playoffs.
