Ferguson Football Season Wraps Up
The craziest season of Ferguson’s many years of football has ended. The Falcons have wrapped up this chaotic 2020 season with a home stand against Varela as their last game. Unfortunately, the Falcons came up short with an 18-12 loss. They finished with a final record of 2-5. This season was not all about football though. With the pandemic looming around the corner, the team had to face challenges both in and out of the field. Once the season had been confirmed, the team had been informed of their safety protocols and knew what changes they’d have to get used to in order to participate in the games. The very beginning of the season was already a journey in itself. There also came a strong need to prepare after all the months that were spent not playing football during quarantine. Even after all the adversity they faced, new obstacles were already on the way. The Falcons dealt with losing numerous players due to the COVID-19 protocol, but not once did they quit. Their persistence helped the Falcons play their season from September all the way until December. The 2020 Falcons football season will always be remembered for the determination and perseverance of the players along with the character they developed through all the commitment these guys had for their sport. The Falcons now look forward to the spring season.
