Inside Harry Styles’ New Album

Dropping another fan favored album, Harry Styles breaks his almost 4-year record of
not releasing new music. This new album, Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally,
released on March 6 of 2026. It is more experimental compared to Harry’s usual genre
style. The pop sub-genres of pop rock, dance-pop, synth-pop and even soft rock.
With 12 songs that make the album 42 minutes long, it is unsurprising that “Aperture” is
the biggest hit in the album, luring fans in with its electronic, techno, and disco tones,
along with the personal lyrics. “I loved the song ‘Aperture’ because it sounds angelic
and intimate, sort of different from his other songs” (Diana Hernandez, 12th Grade).
This album stands out from the rest with its experimental sounds and electronic club
focused songs.
The marketing alone made this album stand out. Harry Styles did this with a cryptic 9-
minute-long YouTube video and global billboard placements which created a digital
scavenger hunt. The posters ended up leading fans to a mysterious website,
webelongtogether.co, where they could sign up to get updates. When signed up, the
fans would receive a voice note from Style’s singing “We Belong Together” in a whisper.
The QR codes on the posters also entered fans into a private WhatsApp groupchat,
named “HSHQ,” meaning Harry Styles Headquarters. This made fans feel like a part of
a community with insider knowledge. He also debuted Aperture in the BRIT Awards
opening performance and continued using live events for promotion, including a one-
night-only concert film that was a collaboration with Netflix.
Beginning February 18, official global listening parties began. These bring together
communities, which is the pattern of his marketing strategy. It is an in-person
experience that happened in over 300 record shops worldwide. This unique idea
brought more attention to his new album. “The Harry listening party elevated my
experience of listening to the album a lot more than if I would have listened on my
phone. Being able to hear the music the intended way on vinyl made it much more
enjoyable, along with sharing the experience with my friends that all share the love of
the artist with me! In all, the community in the record store was very friendly, and
listening to the album in a space where everyone is there to dance and enjoy
themselves was something new for me, and I would love to do it again” (Hade
Izquierdo, 12th Grade).
Styles’ wardrobe has also changed, now sporting a “regular guy” look, along with a
darker, disco aesthetic. With this new album, he is predicted to win Album of the Year
and Best Pop Vocal Album at the Grammys, as well as British Album of the Year at the
Brit Awards. He is also a strong contender for the Top Billboard 200 Album and Top
Selling Album for the Billboard Music Awards. This album has quickly become a fan
favorite.
