Spring Break Has Finally Come!
The time every student has been waiting for since they came back from Winter break is here. On Friday, March 23rd, Spring break officially begins! While some students are planning on going out of town, many are planning on staying local and going out with friends or have intentions of studying for the major exams in the following months.
With the sun out and a nice weather, students are making a beeline straight to the beach or to the waterparks. Granted, a select few plans on going up North to enjoy the frigid air, one of the students being Spencer Witter.
“I’m going to Chicago to visit my dad and little sister,” Spencer said. “I’m also going to go see the third tallest building in the world.”
Other students prefer to stay in Florida and take advantage of the hot weather and countless thrilling attractions. There are many beaches, waterparks, and other activities that students enjoy to visit during this vacation week.
“My family’s planning a trip to Ft. Myers later in the week,” Gianna Colon said.
Alejandra Gutierrez plans on staying here to enjoy the beach and the weather that Miami has to offer. Not to mention the Youth Fair, which it’s bound to be packed with friends hanging out and having fun before exams start rolling in.
“My friends and I are going to take a trip to Rapids Water Park,” Julian Vega said.
It’s not only students planning fun activities this year, Mr. Lopez, an I.B. English teacher plans on going on a motorcycle trip for the week. While it’s nice to have a break and let loose, remember to always be safe and respectful wherever you plan to go. It’s important to have fun but it’s also important to be responsible especially if your traveling. Whether you’re traveling or staying home, the pivotal thing is to enjoy the moments life offers because those details are the ones that create vast memories, experiences, and smiles.
