The 2022-2023 Senior Crowns and Junior Js
The annual tradition of making Senior crowns and Junior J’s has come full circle once again, and Ferguson’s students have really taken their creativity and style to the max!
For the longest time, Junior Js and Senior Crowns have a bestowed cherished tradition in Ferguson and now that the 2022-2023 school year has commenced, the sight of proud falcons wearing their personalized crowns and J’s has been a common sight. Over the years, we have seen some genuinely iconic creations that help encapsulate one’s high school experience.
“I was beyond excited to go to school and show off my Junior J. I kind of felt like it was a trophy showing how far I’ve made it in school, and it felt nice to share that with my friends,” Kaylin Garzon states.
The time a student dedicates to perfectly illustrating and putting together their honorary accessories is all paid off when they walk into the courtyard on the first day of the following chapter in their lives and get to celebrate with their friends.
“All my 3 years in high school I have been waiting to do my senior crown to showcase that I’m a senior and it’s finally my turn. It was really fun to make, I got together with some friends and it’s a great start to celebrate my last year in high school,” stated Nicole Duran.
It is an experience they share together as they enter their last years of high school and a memory that they will be able to cherish forever. This year’s class of 2023 has truly outdone themselves with their senior crowns, and in seeing this, the Senior Board decided to hold a competition. The winners are Kelsey Echegarrua for Most Creative, Gianna De Jesus for Most Flashy, Isabella Ochoa for Most Minimalistic, Ciara Acosta for Most Trendy, Cristina Camp for Falcons Choice (students), and Abigail Ruiz for Falcons Choice (administration). Congratulations seniors and falcons continue to make this school year as exciting and colorful as its beginning!
