The Senior 23rd Days
On the 23rd day of every month Ferguson plans to have a senior day where they can wear their decorated jeans, crowns, and even sashes.
This tradition has never been done before, but was pitched by our senior board with the intention of honoring the graduating class that has missed a variety of events due to the pandemic since their freshmen year.
“Since we are seniors now, I really look forward to these events, because we get to come together as a class to highlight the differences and our similarities through simple things like crowns and jeans. This as a senior gets me excited since it’s my last year in high school. We get to show our own personalities through these activities,” stated senior Marcelo Portela
After returning in the fall of 2021, the graduating class of 2022 were fortunate enough to continue most of their events once again, meaning seniors this year have a lot to look forward to now that the school is fully reopened. This year promises to bring a return of many timely traditions as well as new ones to cement the legacy of this class. “I’m really excited about these senior events, this first event was great, because we got to showcase our customized senior jeans and have a day just for us. I really want to make the most out of this year, so having the 23rd event helps a lot. It motivates everyone to participate,” stated senior Sophia Lacayo.
