Falcons Close Out the Season with Heart
The Ferguson Falcons burst onto the field with full energy, ready to compete from beginning to end. On Tuesday afternoon, January 13th, Ferguson’s varsity soccer team faced the Miami Beach Wildcats in an intense non-league matchup. The stands were filled with students, families, and staff, and the crowd buzzed with excitement, fueling the team with motivation and support.
The Falcons battled through a fast-paced game, with both teams showing effort, communication, and teamwork on the field. Miami Beach started strong and kept steady control of the ball, eventually breaking through Ferguson’s defense. The Wildcats continued to press forward and capitalized on their chances, ultimately winning the game with a score of 3–0. Despite the early goals, Ferguson never stopped pushing the ball up the field or looking for opportunities to score.
“We recognized our mistakes and will put in the extra effort to ensure improvement in our teamwork,” says senior Shane Walker. Even with the tough scoreline, the Falcons showed persistence on both offense and defense and demonstrated strong sportsmanship.
This matchup marked the Falcons’ final game of the season. As the year wraps up, the Falcons reflect on their best moments, lessons learned, and shared experiences as a team.
