Sensational Films Set To Release In September

September is right around the corner, and one thing that makes a week good, is a movie. Let’s take a look at some upcoming movies.

First off, there’s Fall 2: Deadpoint directed by the Spierig Brothers. It is a sequel following Fall (2022), where two very adventurous girls decide to climb an abandoned television broadcasting tower 2,000ft high. Fall 2: Deadpoint follows Hunter’s sister, who is horrified by Hunter’s death, and while looking for a way to process all of the grief connected with Luce, a friend of Hunters. To honor Hunter, the two climb the infamous ancient plank wall on Mount Kwan that is 3,000-5,000ft tall. If you enjoyed the first film, make sure to catch this one on Wednesday, September 2.

Junior Adrian Ruiz said, “After actually biting my nails during the first movie, I am very excited for this movie and I hope that Hunter’s sister doesn’t suffer the same fate as her.”

Resident Evil is set to release on September 18, 2026. This new Resident Evil movie is said to be a whole reboot. While the originals had the main cast of Alice, Rain Ocampo, and Clair, in this reboot they are bringing in a whole new set of characters, alongside a fresh setting and storyline. Formerly, the Resident Evil movies were based off of the original video games that were released back in 1996. After a few other live action movies, is it now time for a whole new casting and storyline.

Senior Celeste Jimenez commented,“I am not a big fan of them rebooting the series, but this one seems interesting.”

Forgotten Island is a new Dreamwork’s Animation movie coming out on September 25! It is said to be Dreamworks 50th animated feature film. The movie celebrates Filipino culture, folklore and even represents the country on a global scale. For all those Filipinos out there, be sure to watch this new film. This film is set to be in the Philippines during the 1990s. The story shows how two longtime best friends are now having to separate after high school, due to them going to different colleges and starting their own lives. During their last day before college, they stumble through a portal and find themselves in lots of trouble.
