Welcome Back, Falcons!
As summer vacation comes to an end, incoming freshman and returning falcons poured into the hallways on August 20th to begin the start of a brand new school year. Of course, with new classes and teachers, come new responsibilities and having to adapt to a new environment. Not to mention, having to grow out of the summer vacation mentality and fix their sleeping schedule.
The staff started as soon as the first day of the school year to work on getting to know the newcomers and starting articles on first-day festivities and all the changes this new year has brought. This program is student-run, all the articles being written and edited by students of all grades. For a number of the staff, these next articles will be their first and definitely not their last.
Ferguson’s newspaper staff, The Talon, is prepared and excited to inform students on upcoming events occurring in the school and events or incidents happening throughout South Florida and the country all year long. The staff works hard to provide students and faculty with regularly posted articles on a variety of different topics, such as sports, entertainment, student life, politics, and more.
The journalism program is still growing and appreciates any support we receive from other students, teachers, faculty, and any other type of readers. We’re sure that this will be a successful year and are excited to share our writer’s talents on our website. Stay tuned for new articles about all types of current events schoolwide and worldwide all year long!
