South Dade Faces Tough Loss Against Girls Volleyball
The Ferguson girls’ volleyball team got a swift win against South Dade this Tuesday. Leaving the Buccaneers captured in defeat, the game concluded 3-0.
The team showed their dominance by playing hard and intelligently on the court. Not only did they flaunt their ability to function and attack as a team, but also their individual performances. The girls brought their all to the game.
“There were some points that we came down to their level, but I feel like when we got the ball back, we were able to play aggressively.” Senior captain and setter, Mia Gonzalez, says.
Though the game blew by easier than expected, the girls were appreciative of the opportunity. The team took the time to deepen their relationship and strengthen their teamwork.
“Even though the game wasn’t as challenging, I was able to slow myself down and get to work on my technique a little bit more.” Fabiola Russo, who is a junior middle hitter, expresses. “As a team, I liked how we could have a lot of fun while still keeping our high level of competitiveness and discipline.”
The girls are currently in Orlando for their Lake Howell Tournament, but are eager to play Lourdes in the Cage next Monday. Come show your support!
