A Sunny Side Up Senior Breakfast
As we begin to approach the final quarter of the school year, seniors can expect to attend a multitude of events to celebrate their hard work in their high school careers. Amongst these events, senior breakfast is one of the most anticipated. The day usually consists of eating delicious food and receiving awards — the perfect formula for creating priceless memories.
On March 3rd, the Class of 2023 traveled to Jungle Island to celebrate their senior breakfast. Compared to previous years, the event was held in a larger venue to accommodate the number of attendees. Following the Mamma Mia theme, students and teachers donned fun and beautiful attire.
The event’s organizers worked hard in ensuring that everyone would have the best time possible. Their hard work definitely didn’t go unnoticed, many were appreciative of the gathering and had nothing but good things to say.
“The day proceeded smoothly, and there was always something to do.” Mr. Sierra exclaimed. “There was never a dull moment, and I can tell that our seniors really appreciated it.”
The event was meticulously planned. Attendees were able to enjoy a large variety of food; ranging from bacon to an assortment of fruits. A video was displayed after their meal, which caused a plethora of emotions among many. Knowing that it was their final year at Ferguson with all of their classmates, many students felt overwhelmed.
“The video was very lovely. I felt like it brought everyone together, and I felt very comfortable there.” Senior Andrea Alvarez stated.
Senior breakfast offered a lot of activities to keep students busy; shows, a hypnotist, a kissing booth, and a lot of areas to take photos. As expected, the hypnotist was a raging favorite among the students because of its uniqueness. “The hypnotist was entertaining because he had to approach us and touch us in order to hypnotize us.” Senior Samantha Forjan explained. “However, taking photos with my friends was my favorite activity.”
The senior superlative awards are usually something all attendees are eager for even after a long day. The weeks leading up to senior breakfast usually are full of campaigning. Congratulations to the winners!
