Girls Volleyball Bid Farewell with Victorious Senior Night
This past Tuesday, the girls volleyball team celebrated their Senior Night at the Cage. Facing JC Bermudez Doral, they effortlessly conquered all three sets!
“Senior Night for me was a very bittersweet moment. It was a fun night, but at the same time, it was saddening. We had a lot of fun during the game and got to play different positions; the energy from the crowd was amazing that night.” Senior Captain Setter Mia Gonzalez shares. “I would like to give a big thank you to all the parents who spent hours planning this event to be perfect for us and everyone that came to support us along our journey.”
The parents of our Falcons have planned out their Senior Night since their freshman year to ensure that the event was both enjoyable and memorable. The girls had plenty of fun during their touching night.
“I think Senior Night was a very emotional yet exciting night. Since freshman year, we always got to see the seniors and their senior night and always thought about how exciting ours will be,” says Kristyn Membreno, Senior Libero. “Our parents have been planning this out since our freshman year, but it feels surreal doing senior night and walking out with our parents since it’s our last year. Most of us have been playing together since we were in middle school, which is like a bittersweet moment.”
The team has undeniably done a fantastic job of working together to collect their wins. This Thursday night, they defeated the Sunset Knights in two sets, 2-0. This leaves the Falcons record at 15-5, with a nine-game winning streak!
With the season coming to an end soon, we wish our senior Falcons the best of luck and huge congratulations on their success and growth this season!
