SAT and ACT Waivers Now Available!

With testing season well upon us, the college preparation office and the CAP advisor Ms. Diez are now offering SAT and ACT waivers. These waivers are given to seniors in room 18 during lunch or after school only. Come January, after winter break, the waivers will be available to juniors looking to get a head start.

To get a waiver you must be enrolled in the National School Lunch Program. Your annual family income would have to be in the Income Eligibility Guidelines, which is set by the USDA Food and Nutrition. If you are on free or reduced lunch you qualify.

Once you obtain your fee waiver and are registering online you need the twelve digit waiver code, your high school counselor name, and how you qualify for the waiver.

SAT waivers cover free tests and feedback. Including two free tests, with or without the essay, six subject tests and two question and answer reports.  SAT waivers cover free college benefits including unlimited score reports and free financial aid from colleges. Other benefits include an elimination of the fees and no late registration fees.

ACT waivers cover the basic registration, and if eligible two waivers. This means that you will take the test twice. This does not cover the late fees, score reports, or any other services. You have to get this waiver directly from your high school counselor. If given an ACT form, follow “Student Directions” for registration. If you register online, you must pay with a credit card.

Get started on your SAT and ACT testing and remember to study!
