Underclassmen Prepare for Articulation
Falcons, it’s that time of the year again when students select the classes they will take the following year, whether you are an incoming freshman or moving on to your final year of high school, articulation can be a stressful yet exciting task. This regular routine has had many changes due to COVID-19 restrictions. This year John A. Ferguson Senior High will be doing articulation in a different manner. Students will be completing it on an online JOT form tomorrow at 1:00pm. School administration will have a PowerPoint to guide students through any difficulties or questions they may have while filling out the JOT form. Students can find more information on the matter under the ‘Incoming Ninth Graders’ tab on the John A. Ferguson website. Under the tab, students are made aware of some regulations such as signing the AP Contract if they want to take an Advanced Placement course. Traditional Subject Selection Sheets are also provided in this section, where students can see some of the courses Ferguson offers. When filling out the form students must provide a copy of a parent or guardian’s driver’s license to prove that you have reviewed your future class selections with a parent or guardian present. Selecting classes can be difficult, especially with Ferguson’s many choices in every academy, but enjoy the opportunity to decide your future. Try something new or stick to subjects that provide familiar surroundings. Articulation is one of many highlights through the year so make sure to prepare and have fun!
