Class of 2027 Take on Busch Gardens

On February 27th, juniors woke up bright and early, their bags full of snacks for their long-awaited field trip to Busch Gardens. Despite a four-hour bus ride to Tampa ahead of them, students made the most of the trip by playing games, listening to music, or chatting with friends. If anything, the ride only further built up the excitement for what awaited them at the park.

Valentina Avila shared, “On the way there, we all entertained ourselves by playing some games together like Among Us, Imposter, and Bean Boozled—it was a fun way to pass the time.” By the time the buses arrived at Busch Gardens, the energy was high.

Eager to ride as many roller coasters as possible, students quickly split into groups and rush toward some of the park’s most popular attractions. Rides like SheiKra, Falcon’s Fury, Iron Gwazi, and Cheetah Hunt were amongst some of the most popular, with lines filled with waiting for their turn.

“My friends and I had an immediate game plan going in: to visit their newest and fastest ride, the Iron Gwazi, which easily became our favorite of the park,” Alessandra Gonzalez said.

Throughout the day, students were able to explore around the park, try out different rides, and stop for food or drinks between attractions. While some groups focused on hitting the biggest roller coasters first, others took their time walking around and enjoying everything the park offered.

They would visit the animal exhibit, buy some memorabilia, or simply took a break indoors to cool off before heading back out for more rides. Jasmin Becerra added, “After going on a few attractions, we decided to take a break, sit down, and enjoy some Dippin’ Dots while playing a few rounds of Telephone.”

By day’s end, students were tired but happy after an eventful day at the park. After hours walking around and riding roller coasters, the bus ride back was much quieter, with many students resting. All in all, this trip gave juniors a chance to step away from the classroom, spend time with friends while making memories together.
