New Adventures on Screen This March
As we enter March, springtime begins, and the rollout of films commences. Exciting stories will be coming to theatres and streaming platforms, and hearing about them now is the first step to making plans to watch them later.
The Bride!
In the 1930s, a scientist named Dr. Euphronious brought a murdered woman back from the dead. She is meant to be the companion of Frankenstein’s monster. However, she doesn’t become just a passive partner following along. Her need to find her identity after death and gain autonomy over her life sends Frankenstein’s monster and herself through a series of wild events.
Hoppers
Mabel Tanaka, a 19-year-old animal enthusiast, has transferred her mind into a realistic robotic beaver. Her goal is to communicate with animals to save their habitat. However, some plans sound easy until they get out of hand.
Ready or Not 2: Here I Come
Picking up where the last film ended, Grace wakes up in the hospital, recovering from her injuries. Her sister, Faith, joins her in the fight. Despite surviving the first game, Grace is now thrust into another, even more dangerous challenge against the families of the Council’s heads. She and Faith are being targeted by four wealthy rival families determined to win and take control of the High Seat of the Council.
Project Hail Mary
Earth is in danger, on the brink of entering a new ice age because of Astrophage, a solar-eating microbe. To save the planet, Ryland Grace and two other astronauts embark on a desperate mission to find a solution to the parasitic Astrophage problem. However, the story begins when Ryland wakes up from a coma, finding his crewmates dead and struggling with memory loss himself. He meets an alien called Rocky, who has also lost his crew. Together, they form a plan to save both worlds.
War Machine
In the final stage of the selection process for a U.S. Army Ranger team, a group of recruits is suddenly hunted by huge, intelligent machines. The film has a “Terminator” feel to it, filled with high stakes and a relentless fight for survival. The story is loosely inspired by Stanley McChrystal, a man sent to Afghanistan to fight a war that many had already decided was lost.
With horror, sci-fi, action, and offbeat adventure all on the horizon, March offers something for every kind of movie fan. Whether you prefer thought-provoking space stories, creature-focused adventures, or high-tension survival tales, these upcoming releases provide plenty of reasons to mark your calendar and start planning your next movie night.
