Ferguson Athletes compete in the 2017 CC GMAC

On Friday, October 20, 2017, Ferguson’s boys and girls cross country team competed in the Cross Country Greater Miami Athletic Conference. Runners were able to show off their hard work and dedication one last time before the states series. The states series consist of Districts, Regions, and ends with States.

 

Ferguson’s Girls Cross Country placed first last Friday in the CC GMAC. The first runner to cross the finish line was Ferguson sophomore, Lisa Adjouadi, with a time of 19:50.49. She was followed by freshman, Ana Rodriguez, who got third place with a time of 20:06.08. Two more Ferguson runners placed in the top 10 and received medals. Sophomore Bianca Banato ranked 5th with a time of 20:34.16, and senior, Kayla Hogan, ranked 10th with a time of 21:46.18.

 

In the boy’s competition, Christopher Columbus High School took the prize with their first runner receiving a time of 16:21.02. However, three runners did rank in the top 10, and received medals. Guillermo Rojas ranked 4th with a time of 16:43.86. Alejandro Morillo ranked 6th with a time of 16.57.61. Nicholas Pujals ranked 9th with a time of 17:36.15.
