First Pep Rally

The first pep rally of the school year is something students have many different feelings about. Some are excited to be there with their friends and see what happens, while others are nervous because they have never been to one before. New students especially might not know what to expect from their first pep rally. It is a monumental moment when you experience your first Ferguson pep rally, it is full of good energy and excitement.  “I was nervous because it felt really chaotic” – Oriana Vega 9th

Before the pep rally, students might wonder what it is going to be like. They may be looking forward to the music, games, performances, or just getting out of class for a little while. It is also a chance for everyone to have fun together and show some school spirit. ”I was excited to try new experiences and I was looking forward to this new year filled with pep rallies” – Jahsmine Palma 9th

Of course, not everyone is going to feel the same about it. Some students are really excited, while others might not care as much or could feel uncomfortable with how loud and crowded it gets. Everyone has their own expectations before walking into the pep rally.

Even though students do not know exactly what will happen, the first pep rally gives them something different to look forward to. Once everyone is together, cheering and having fun, those nervous or unsure feelings can turn into a good memory and a fun start to the school year.
